There are many small things we can all do to support the lake. Maine Lakes captured them well in the Laker’s Dozen.

The Lake Association has a mission of preserving the lake and its environs. We are not responsible for ensuring folks are sticking to code on their properties or for monitoring lake activity. We also don’t have the expertise to help birds in distress. These are common requests we get so here are the best starting points for all of those:

• Boating

  • Maine Boating Laws from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife

  • Boating Safety and Education Course from the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife - new requirements as of January 1, 2024

  • Wake Boat Laws - new as of August 9, 2024

  • Map of Lake Wesserunsett depths

• Madison Town Office - for boundary or other code concerns

• Maine Game Warden - for reckless boating concerns or other needs on the lake 1-800-452-4664 

• Avian Haven (207-382-6761) for sick or injured birds
